What is the cancellation policy?
There is NO CANCELLATION FEE if you cancel your tour 71 DAYS OR MORE before your tour's starting date. If you cancel within 70 days, the cancellation fee is 20% plus any amount we have already paid or agreed to pay to external suppliers (i.e flights, accommodation). Instead of charging a % based on when you cancel like other companies do, (which almost always guarantee a higher profit) we just have a flat 20% fee + any amounts we can't recoup. We'll try to get back as much money as we can from our suppliers and give that back to you. And if needed, we can show you the refund receipt to prove this.
How does the 20% deposit works?
You can lock in today's price with a 20% deposit and pay the balance 70 days prior to tour's starting date. There will be a 20% deposit option in the "Payment Option" section when you check out.
Are meals included in the tour?
Many meals are included on our tours as specified under the INCLUSION section above Generally, not all meals are included. This is because we want you to have flexibility to experience local cuisines on the go without any restrictions.
I have a dietary requirement
After you book, we will send you a quick form to complete. You can specify your dietary requirements there, and we will forward this information to our suppliers. Please note in some circumstances, this is not always possible, especially in remote areas where meal choices can be limited.
How much walking is involved? Do I need to be fit?
Generally, we rate this tour as medium-slow. See day to day schedules under FULL ITINERARY section above. Generally there will be walking throughout the day, however we often stop for breaks and meals. If you have any life-threatening conditions that prevent you from everyday walking, please see a doctor before booking this tour.
What if I want to change my travel date after I have booked?
THERE IS NO FEE if you change your tour's date 70 DAYS OR LESS within your initial tour's starting date. If your change is 71 days or more, then the cancellation fee is 20% plus any amounts that we have paid or commited to pay to external parties (i.e flights, accommodation). Instead of charging a % based on when you cancel like other companies do, (which almost always guarantee a higher profit) we just have a flat 20% fee + the variables. We'll try to get back as much money as we can from our suppliers and give that back to you. And if needed, we can show you the refund receipt to prove this.
What if a certain event prevents a group from attending a certain activity, such as bad weather?
If a condition such as weather or a natural disaster prevent the group from participating a certain activity, we'll refund you the recovered third-party costs and any cancelled travel arrangements for that activity.
What's the baggage allowance?
20KG for checked baggage and 7KG for carry-on per person. This applies to all modes of transportation used during the tour, including domestic flights, coaches, ferries, private transfers, etc.
Is there an age limit?
No. Even though this tour is thoughtfully designed for people between the age range of about 30-65, we have participants well below 30 and young-spirited seniors above 65 thoroughly enjoying our tours. Price for children is specified in the booking section.
How much money should I bring?
Accommodation, transport, tour flights, a bunch of meals and entry tickets to all activities are all included, so you will just need money for a few extra meals, drinks, shopping and onward travel. We recommend about $50 per person per day.
